On January 30, 2026, Business IT published an in depth analysis of the key technology predictions for the year, highlighting a sustained growth trajectory for the Information Technology sector. The study reinforces the central role of Artificial Intelligence, digital infrastructure, and cybersecurity as critical drivers shaping IT investment, and includes insights from national industry leaders on their expectations for the year ahead.
According to IDC, 2025 was the strongest year for the technology market since 1996, recording a 14% increase in global IT spending. For 2026, an additional 10% growth is forecast, supported by the expansion of AI capabilities and the modernization of digital operations.
In Europe, Gartner estimates that overall IT investment will reach €1.2 trillion in 2026, reflecting growth of 11.1%. This momentum will be fuelled by three strategic pillars: the rapid expansion of Generative AI, which is projected to grow 78.2%; the continued adoption of cloud computing as the foundation for operational scalability; and the strengthening of cybersecurity, driven by the increasing criticality of data and business essential processes.
As part of this analysis, Marco Batista, Managing Partner at InovaPrime, shared the company’s perspective with Business IT. He highlights that 2025 was an exceptionally strong year, marked by nearly 30% growth, strengthened national presence, and significant international expansion—driven by the continuous evolution of Governance.Business.
Looking ahead to 2026, he anticipates “a year of scale, innovation and expansion”, reinforcing InovaPrime’s position as a reference in areas such as BPM, RPA, and integrated portfolio and service management. The company also plans to invest in intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and the optimization of internal processes to ensure the long term sustainability and competitiveness of its international operations.
