InovaPrime was created in May 2005 by a group of experienced IT consultants. The entrepreneurs were former university colleagues at the most renowned portuguese engineering faculty (Instituto Superior Técnico).

InovaPrime means to be prime at innovation. Inova comes from "inovação", the portuguese word for innovation.

In 2005, InovaPrime started its international activities, first in Spain and then to France, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria and Brazil. Due to this strategy, InovaPrime decided in 2008 to open a local company in Spain to develop the local market.

Since 2005, InovaPrime has grown in market but also in size, starting with 4 consultants in the first months of 2005 and counting right now with more than 40 consultants with a large international experience.
